Practice Two
Waiting for the Nervous System

Imagination & visualization of each move teaches us how to wait for long enough, allowing our body to signal to us when it is ready to initiate a movement.

Waiting for the Nervous System guides us to explore smooth flowing & balanced movements, imagining the ease and flow first, while developing our awareness and senses deep within every major joint.

By using our imagination, from a calm state, we can invite & prepare our motor neurons to communicate to our muscle fibers how to contract.

Empowering us to stimulate & recruit neural pathways and muscle fibers in our body that have had limited or no connection for some time.

As these neural pathways and muscle fibers reconnect and come back online, they begin to operate as they were designed to function, supporting the opposing muscles which have been overworked.

Sympathetic Nervous System
Survival response, fight, flight, freeze, this is necessary for survival and keeps our systems stressed, reactive & responsive.

Parasympathetic Nervous System
Restores the body to a calm & composed state allowing the body to heal, rest and recover.

Our goal is to restore the balance & harmony between these systems.
